Friends of the RED WOLF

Thank you for visiting to learn more about Friends of the Red Wolf! We are a group which was established exclusively to help support the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) field team working to recover endangered red wolves through the Red Wolf Recovery Program. Red wolves are one of the most endangered canids in the world. They are thought to have once ranged throughout the south and central eastern United States, but they are now found in only one reintroduced population in northeastern North Carolina. Learn more about red wolves here.

Your gift to Friends of the Red Wolf will help purchase much needed  field supplies, such as VHF telemetry collars (tracking collars), and to pay for veterinary services for wild wolves in need of stitches, treatment for mange, and other illnesses or injuries.

We’re also on Facebook, and we’d love to chat with you there!
